Mr. Goldberg has over 20 years of experience in commercial real estate investing, lending and transaction structuring. Mr. Goldberg formed Shem Creek Capital in March 2008 and is a Managing Member of all Shem Creek Capital Funds. Mr. Goldberg oversees and is responsible for all major functions at Shem Creek Capital including decisions related to investments, financing and all day-to-day operations. From 2000 through Q1 2008, Mr. Goldberg was employed by iStar Financial Inc. (NYSE: SFI), a leading publicly traded finance company focused on the commercial real estate industry. During Mr. Goldberg’s tenure at iStar Financial he was involved in various roles in both the investments and capital markets divisions of the company. Prior to joining iStar Financial, Mr. Goldberg worked at Bear, Stearns & Co. in their real estate, gaming and lodging investment banking practice with a focus on M&A and leveraged finance transactions within the real estate and gaming sectors. Mr. Goldberg graduated with high distinction from Emory University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.


Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Solecki has over 32 years experience in commercial real estate origination, structuring, closing commercial real estate and corporate loans. Mr. Solecki has been with Shem Creek since its inception in 2008 as an outside advisor. In 2014, Mr. Solecki formalized his role as CFO with Shem Creek and is responsible for managing senior lending relationships and all capital market activities. Mr. Solecki is the founder of Aspen Capital Group, a Mortgage Banking and Advisory Firm which represents commercial real estate and business owners in accessing debt, mezzanine and equity capital. From 1987-1999, Mr. Solecki was employed by Aetna in its real estate investment department most recently as Senior Vice President and Managing Director of the Structured Finance Department. Prior to Aetna, Mr. Solecki worked at Coopers & Lybrand where he provided accounting and consulting services to their real estate clients. Mr. Solecki has a Master’s Degree in Finance from Rensselaear Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelors of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Mr. Solecki has also attained the CPA designation.



Mr. Blondin joined Shem Creek Capital September 2014, as the Director of Asset Management. Additionally, Mr. Blondin is involved in the company’s investment and loan origination activity. Mr. Blondin has over nine years of experience in commercial real estate and a background in loan acquisitions and origination, valuation analysis and site selection. Prior to joining Shem Creek, Mr. Blondin managed the real estate valuation department and was a principal member of the loan acquisition team for Admirals Bank in Boston. Prior to Admirals Mr. Blondin held various positions at Birch¦REA Partners, a real estate valuation and consulting firm and The TJX Companies, where he performed site selection and due diligence to support the company’s real estate initiatives. Mr. Blondin received Bachelors of Arts in Marketing from Syracuse University.
